Edit
Parcel Tracker, the new package tracking program that is included in the Ubuntu Developer Contest, has been updated to include UPS package tracking rounding out the three big shipping companies in the United States... UPS, FedEx and USPS (United States Postal Service). This makes the software valuable for us stateside users and surely anyone using UPS around the globe. If tracking packages is important to you, this is a great app!
Installation in Ubuntu is simple. Open a terminal and copy and paste in these commands...
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:torkvemada/torkvemada
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install parcel-tracker
Press enter and the app will install and since you are adding the repository for this app it will always stay up to date.
What about the possibility to add other (European) services? I was wondering if we could use this in our company for tracking send packages...
ReplyDeleteI would suggest contacting the developer (which is how I got UPS, Fedex and USPS added) and give him the website for the shipping company you are interested in plus a valid tracking number so he can sort out how to get your favorite shipping company integrated. https://launchpad.net/parcel-tracker
ReplyDeleteThis is an amazing app! Came in handy to me, thank you for posting about it.
