Edit
The idea is so simple. Host a virtual event for Ubuntu users to play multiplayer games on Ubuntu over the internet. This has been an idea of mine for a few years now, but I have never had the opportunity to get it officially launched in any way.
THUS! I call upon the Ubuntu community to help take over my idea of having an Ubuntu Game Night and help it thrive. I call upon the likes of Jono Bacon , Benjamin Kerensa , Jorge Castro and Joey-Elijah Sneddon for help. My original plan called for an Ubuntu Game Night once or twice a month and an idea to have it run by each Ubuntu loco group around the world so it would be easier to manage and would work out better for each loco teams time zones as well.
Types of games, time zones, etc can all be worked out. Months ago I put something together on Ubuntu wiki, so lets start editing it and making it better so we can reach a consensus and start playing some games together!

I want your input on this. Lets start talking about it everywhere and get the ball rolling. Google Plus, Facebook, Diaspora, on my blog here, everyones blog, in IRC meetings, wherever you can. This truly could be an awesome event we all look forward to each month (or whenever it is we pick). If any linux distro could make something like this happen, IT'S UBUNTU that can!
