Ubuntu Optimization apps help keep Ubuntu running at peak performance. We all tend to gravitate to our favorite apps as they do different things, but there is a new program in the race for optimizing.
Developed by Fouad Hassouneh as a way to learn Quickly and Python, uClean quickly frees disk space and frees cache, deletes cookies, clears Internet history, and can discard junk and temporary files. Designed for Ubuntu using Quickly and Python, uClean will support more than a 100 applications to be cleaned including Firefox, Adobe Flash Player, Google Chrome, Chromium, Opera, and more. Beyond simply cleaning your Ubuntu, uClean contains a utilities tab to uninstall applications, and wipe free disk space to hide traces of files deleted by other applications.
Look for an update on this app soon as well as a PPA and full integration with desktop notifications and the HUD.
